Please take care - you have to use the&lt;br /&gt;    correct Bios file for your machine&lt;br /&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  Notebook&lt;br /&gt;  BIOS update:&lt;br /&gt;  Prior to upgrading the BIOS please ensure the following:&lt;br /&gt;  ·  &lt;br /&gt;  Notebook is&lt;br /&gt;  undocked.&lt;br /&gt;  ·  &lt;br /&gt;  Notebook is&lt;br /&gt;  connected to the mains.&lt;br /&gt;  ·  &lt;br /&gt;  Notebook must&lt;br /&gt;  be in boot mode and not resume mode.&lt;br /&gt;  ·  &lt;br /&gt;  Remove any&lt;br /&gt;  connected Hardware like PC Cards, USB devices...&lt;br /&gt;  ·  &lt;br /&gt;  Do not switch&lt;br /&gt;  off during the BIOS update!&lt;br /&gt;  There are five&lt;br /&gt;  different BIOS update processes. Please find detail update information below:&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  BIOS update process&lt;br /&gt;  1:&lt;br /&gt;  1. Download the BIOS from the Toshiba BIOS download section&lt;br /&gt;  on &lt;a href="http://www.toshiba-tro.de/"&gt;www.toshiba-tro.de&lt;/a&gt; for your Toshiba notebook and make sure to select the&lt;br /&gt;  Version which is corresponding to the operating system your are currently&lt;br /&gt;  using.&lt;br /&gt;  2. Extract the zip file containing the BIOS upgrade to a&lt;br /&gt;  temporary folder.&lt;br /&gt;  3. Make sure that all open files are saved and all&lt;br /&gt;  applications are closed.&lt;br /&gt;  4. Change into the temporary folder and check if there is a "BIOS" (Windows Batch&lt;br /&gt;  File) file (BIOS.bat).&lt;br /&gt;  5. If no, please check the BIOS&lt;br /&gt;  update process 2, 3, 4 or 5.&lt;br /&gt;  6. If yes, double click on the extracted BIOS.bat (Windows&lt;br /&gt;  Batch File) file in the temporary folder.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  7. The following Windows appears:&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  8. The BIOS update process starts automatically.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  9. When the update process is finished the system will&lt;br /&gt;  restart automatically.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  10.  While Toshiba LOGO screen is displayed, press [F2] key to start BIOS Setup Menu.&lt;br /&gt;  11.  Check Time and date wether they are correct. If not, they&lt;br /&gt;  should be adjusted to the correct values.&lt;br /&gt;  12.  Press [F9] key and choose "Yes" to set&lt;br /&gt;  the BIOS to default settings. Press [F10] key and&lt;br /&gt;  choose "Yes" to save the settings.&lt;br /&gt;  13.  Update process finished.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  BIOS update process&lt;br /&gt;  2:&lt;br /&gt;  1. Check in the temporarly folder if there is a "setup??" Application file (setup??.exe) and a *.rom file.&lt;br /&gt;  2. If no, please check the BIOS&lt;br /&gt;  update process 3, 4 or 5.&lt;br /&gt;  3. If yes, Execute the extracted *.exe file in the temporary&lt;br /&gt;  folder.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  4. The following Windows appears:&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  Click on "Start"&lt;br /&gt;  The following Windows appears:&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  The BIOS update process starts automatically.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  5. When the update process is finished the system will&lt;br /&gt;  shutdown automatically.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  6. Start the notebook, while Toshiba LOGO screen displays,&lt;br /&gt;  press [F2] key to start BIOS Setup Menu.&lt;br /&gt;  7. Check time and date wether they are correct. If not, they&lt;br /&gt;  should be adjusted to the correct values.&lt;br /&gt;  8. Press [F9] key and choose "Yes" to set&lt;br /&gt;  the BIOS to default settings. Press [F10] key and&lt;br /&gt;  choose "Yes" to save the settings.&lt;br /&gt;  9. Update process finished.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  BIOS update process&lt;br /&gt;  3:&lt;br /&gt;  1. Check in the temporarly folder if there is only a&lt;br /&gt;  "Application" (*.exe ) file.&lt;br /&gt;  2. If no, please check the BIOS&lt;br /&gt;  update process 1 or 2.&lt;br /&gt;  3. If yes, Execute the extracted Application (*exe) file in&lt;br /&gt;  the temporary folder.&lt;br /&gt;  4. The BIOS update process may look different if the update&lt;br /&gt;  process did not match to the pictures below please check BIOS update process&lt;br /&gt;  4.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  5. The following Windows appears:&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  6. The current BIOS version and the version to install will&lt;br /&gt;  be displayed.&lt;br /&gt;  Click on "Yes" to proceed.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  7. Read the text and click on "OK" to proceed.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  8. The BIOS update process starts.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  9. When the update process is finished the system will&lt;br /&gt;  restart automatically.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  10.  While Toshiba LOGO screen displays, press [ESC] key to start BIOS Setup Menu.&lt;br /&gt;  11.  Check time and date wether they are correct. If no, they&lt;br /&gt;  should be adjusted to the correct values.&lt;br /&gt;  12.  Press [Home] key and to set the BIOS to default settings. Press [End] key and to save the settings and exit.&lt;br /&gt;  13.  Update process finished.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  BIOS update process&lt;br /&gt;  4:&lt;br /&gt;  1. Check in the temporarly folder if there is only a&lt;br /&gt;  "Application" (*.exe ) file.&lt;br /&gt;  2. If no, please check the BIOS&lt;br /&gt;  update process 1 or 2.&lt;br /&gt;  3. If yes, Execute the extracted Application (*exe) file in&lt;br /&gt;  the temporary folder.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  4. The BIOS update process starts automatically.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  5. If yes, execute the extracted Application (*exe) file in&lt;br /&gt;  the temporary folder.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;  4. The notebook will restart..&lt;br /&gt;  During the shutdown process the BIOS will update automatically.&lt;br /&gt;  5. When the Toshiba LOGO screen displays, press [F2] key to start BIOS Setup Menu.&lt;br /&gt;  6. Check wether time and date are correct. If not, they&lt;br /&gt;  should be adjusted to the correct values.&lt;br /&gt;  7. Press [F9] key and choose "Yes"&lt;br /&gt;  to set the BIOS to default settings. Press [F10] key and&lt;br /&gt;  choose "Yes" to save the settings.&lt;br /&gt;  8.
